Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It says the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the thing that matters. TabTrade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Dodgy operations do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You put money in, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
